Have you taken the Winco pill?

>> No.19913623

>>19913621
Yes.

>> No.19913648

I recently realized that if I started working at Winco 15 years ago I'd probably be in a slightly better financial situation than I am now, simply because they're employee owned. There was no way of knowing that then, but it's a good argument for communism. They cut out all the bullshit and just say this is what we got, and it's cheaper than the other places around. Buy it or don't buy it; we don't really care. It's the responsible choice for thinking anons.

They pay less than fucking Walmart, not sure how it's a "good argument for communism". And every major retailer offers stock options.

It's not about the starting wage, dum dum. I'm not even a wagie. I just happened to look up how their "employee owned" thing actually works and the benefits you'd be getting today after 15 or 20 years are actually really good. It's not the same as "stock options." (I'd probably still be making a lot more; it was just kind of eye opening how well their long term employees are doing in today's economy because of their business structure. "Employee owned" is literally the central premise of communism.

The thing I like most about Winco is the design. I can't stand grocery stores that play fucked music and have live laugh love signs painted on the wall. Winco is like a warehouse with no advertising, no music, and concrete floors. It's perfect

I went to a WinCo at 3am once and it was surreal, like backrooms-esque; Walmarts back when they were 24 hours weren't ever creepy. The only sign of life in the place aside from the automaton stockers was the tweaker politely ranting at the cashier. When the cashier rang me up he made a nonchalant comment on it and shrugged, saying it was part of the job

No. It's just the MAGA, election tourist types who never go outside and spend all day looking up videos of black people punching white dudes with Fox News in the background. I prefer this 100% over the dumbass grocer chain stores
I do probably 70% of my shopping at Winco and 15% or so at Costco (mostly for the meat). The other 15% is split between Walmart and Chain stores since their prices tend to be almost 2x the price of Winco and I only go there when I need specific thing Winco doesn't usually carry

I specifically went to winco to buy some cheap stuff, but turned out the self-checkout is so fucking awful (only shows last scanned item, scans too fast) that looking at the check later I managed to eliminate all of the savings I got over QFC by double scanning some items

OP here, bought 125 bucks, well 130 bucks worth of goodies, they were having a promotion where they are giving out a free frozen turkey if you spend more than 125! I think it ends on the 20th? It excludes milk, alcohol and eggs. Some retarded reason, their prep bucket wasn't included to my purchase so they made a big fuss about it not being included, holding uo the line, so I had to buy 2 more Shasta 12 packs sodas plus an extra item to finally get my free 21 lb turkey, so I felt bad for holding up the line. At least I have a holiday turkey for free!
