Based steve does it again

I saw Steve at a grocery store in Florida yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “OK, cool, nice, alright.”

I was so pleased, all I could say was “Nice!” and he kept responding "Nice!" and we exchanged thumb-ups and high-fives for about ten minutes straight. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him say "cool, see ya" as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him handing out souvenir P-38 can openers to a group of kids as he approached the register with like fifteen cans of expired Spam.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, these items are expired, I don't want you getting sick!” But Steve just said, "Let's get these out onto the conveyor belt!" and unpacked his cart. When she took one of the cans and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “because some of these are different varieties, could be more expensive,” and then turned around and smiled at me apologetically for the delay. What a sweet, honest guy!. After she scanned each can and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept getting distracted and blushing at his bulging biceps.

The Danish dinner ration looked really good.

Yeah, that chicken and curry is one of the best meals they provide. I also like the mashed potatoes and beef. The pasta funghi however...
It was N I C E ! to see that he instinctively added the chili sauce to the meal. It's seriously THE best hot sauce I've ever tasted and I'm mad it can't be bought in our stores.
And real fucking rye bread is back (or has been for a couple of years) instead of that awful swedish saw dust bricks they served us before.
And those fruit puree's can be bought nearly everywhere from the baby food sections of our stores. I always buy more and stuff them in my uniform when we're out. 100% pure organic fruit with no extra additives, and they are cheap as fuck.

And the cakes. Chocolate is nice, you can barely fuck that up. But if you ever get the chance you should try the orange and lemon variants of them. I always try to trade for them.

NICE. The Chocolate Hazelnut & Jam "PB&J" looked amazing. Also the fruit spread and paté on biscuit crackers was very interesting (the tart sweetness of the fruit probably paired well cutting through the salty richness of the meat), along with the custom trailmix with the jerky and chocolate. Lots of different combinations using small portions to boost morale and make consumption on the go more viable. The quality difference between Denmark and the UK was enormous though. You can tell the Danes really care about their service members.

Oh lawdy... Yeah, our rations are good.
Payment and insurance is shit for the average grunt, we barely have any new equipment due to most of it being sold off a few years back after pulling out of Iraq, then they remembered we kind of need it some for the new recruits.
There's also been some idiotic cases of embezzlement from the budgets which has resultet in an increased demand for checks and balances, which both cost money and time, so having our equipment replaced has become an even worse drag.
