It’s not liquor, it’s a liqueur. They’re usually heavily sweetened so do not get drunk off of it, the way you would with a liquor, like whiskey or vodka. The hangover will literally make you want to die.

It’s meant to be drunk as an after dinner digestif or used as an ingredient in cocktails.

>> No.19873320

Man, you just have to do a little bit of research wrt wines, as we don’t know where you live and what’s available there. Trader Joe’s Cabernet Sauvignon honesty sounds like a cooking wine I wouldn’t even put in my beef stew but I really couldn’t tell you.

You can get decent wine for cheap, even box wine, which has the added bonus of maintaining its quality for much longer after opening compared to bottle wine. But you have to do some legwork.

>overproof
Not a term applied to whiskey. Overproofing means that gunpowder wet with the stuff will still ignite and it needs to be at least 115ish proof to do that. 100 proof 4 year or better whiskey is "bonded", cask strength varies, but usually ends up between 125 and 145 proof. Anything above 40 but not those things is just "premium" whiskey, as you are getting more whiskey for whiskey and it's diluted to taste, not for dollars.

>chartreuse
Based. Drank on saturday. This time I had the Exilir(69%). So I decided to make nuclear shots with green chartreuse and the exilir on 1:1 ratio. What I made was a 62% alcohol content ultra giga nuclear roided turbonigger killer shot. I passed out. Normally with chartreuse you only feel a very slight burning at the back of the mouth when you ingest it but goes away quicky and leaves a good warned up feeling and herbal taste. The mixture burned everything and herbal taste was very strong like a jägermeister. Had to take several samples to define the taste which caused the premature passing.
