This is the truth. I used to eat at Five Guys way more than I'd like to admit. The quality was in constant decline, but it was a slow decline that was barely noticeable. Around the time when delivery apps really started to take off quality went into freefall. My assumption is that the way Five Guys operates isn't equipped to handle the increase in load delivery apps put on them, and as a result the quality suffered. I finally stopped eating there after I got a burger that looked and tasted exactly like a McDonald's quarter pounder. At that moment I realized the Five Guys I once knew was gone. I don't know how to describe it, but Five Guys burgers used to have this distinct, unique taste that in my mind that put them above typical fast food slop. Whatever that taste was, it's totally gone now. You're essentially paying a premium for McDonalds if you're still going to Five Guys now.

I hope the other fastfood companies follow suit. Once this slop is as expensive as actual food there will be no excuse.

In a way I am thankfull for these lazy thiefs, I got in the bad habit of ordering food online during lockdown, but the deliveries got so consistently later and later while getting more expensive I swore it off
