There's something about jalapeno and vinegar (pickled or sauce like Terbasky) that's just perfect. Fucking love jalapeno sauces. Green is a close second to the ch'pole-tee one but they're both way better than the original or that offensive habanero one

very true. but it does taste fucking amazing. I used to douse my sandwiches with the jalapeno every night at work, it's just so nice and fresh

the green one smells so fucking good
>>19732939
I got all of them last time they were on sale and I'll only get chipotle and jalapeno from now on. it's weird that the only one that really sucks is the original one that is also the default tabasco in all restaurants although it's basically just red vinegar because they were too cheap to use more chilis

yeah man with Tabasco I'm the same, jalapeno and chipotle are top tier and the others are pointless

regular tabasco is too mild to go even milder. haven'tried the green one in years but it sounds far too mild

i tried the chipotle one recently and it's gross. will probably never finish this bottle.
classic, habanero, and scorpion are excellent

oh god you're a juvenile heatmonger who can't even tolerate sauces that taste good unless they're painful

>> No.19734926

>>19734915
naw, I have all levels of spicy. regular tabasco is one of my favorites honestly and it's quite mild. i like it for its flavor, which might be too much of a subtle thing for your taste buds. try adding some extremely spicy sauce to some vinegar. trust me, it's not gonna taste like tabasco.

let me guess, not putting cream and sugar in one's coffee is also "juvenile"? "uhh that's just bean water, how juvenile"

I like the habanero one too, it's much better the original because the vinegar % is much lower

I really dont like green hot sauce or salsa, I only like them red and for no good reason.

>> No.19735994

tabasco is pretty good but is it really better than a lot of other hot sauces? only one i really like is the smoked one, i used it for me meatballz

>> No.19737036

Original Tabasco is aged 3 years in used whiskey barrels and normal vinegar, family reserve is aged 8 years in used whiskey barrels and with white wine vinegar.

>> No.19737212

>>19737036
And the family reserve tastes very different from the standard Tabasco. The FR is good, but the different vinegar really changes the flavor a lot. I like the FR, but I really wish they had used white distilled instead of white wine vinegar. I'm buying Tabasco for the barrel ageing and the c. frutescens flavor, not the white wine vinegar flavor. Distilled white vinegar adds a neutral acetic acid taste that compliments and highlights the pepper mash flavor nuances. White wine vinegar tends to cover up those flavors and tries to steal the show.
