For a purportedly "classier" form of pizza, this looks like it was thrown together with all the care of a catatonic delinquent in an urban McDonalds. Most Neapolitan-style pizza has this issue: the ingredient distribution is nonexistent. There are maybe 5 pieces of scattered pepperoni and 2 basil leaves on that. Are you supposed to rip up your own basil so you can have some with each bite? Are you really supposed to just eat the entire leaf in one bite? I paid for the pizza (probably too much), chop the fucking leaves. Also, why is the crust accounting for EASILY more than 50% of the total surface area of the pizza? I understand that taste is subjective, but for me part of the appeal of pizza is that you're getting a full flavor profile in each bite. The crust is only left bare to function as a handle. Neapolitan is like a Picasso rendition of a pizza; stripped down to simple forms to evoke the essence of its appearance. Despite the saying, I don't eat with my fucking eyes.
