Hey /ck/, I am a newfag getting into cooking large amounts of meat casually for my friends and I gotta ask: what the fuck do people mean by "cold water" when it comes to defrosting fifty chicken wings for a meet up with my bros?
Are we talking
>refrigerator temperature water
>mildly cold tap water
>room temperature tap water
>piss warm but not hot tap water
because these instructions I keep finding on google tell me jack shit. They're vague as fuck. I don't know if 90 degrees water cooks chicken, I don't think it does, but their vague wording with "oh hot water does that so don't do it" is precisely why I am asking, if I was knowledgeable I wouldn't fucking google it, so now I'm asking it because I don't trust these fucking "experts" who live off housewife guesswork. When using cold water
(if it's worth the effort; I might microwave them because at least that requires empirical evidence) what temperature do you defrost chicken with? I want degrees.
