What I do is pressure cook chicken breast then I scoop it out of the pressure cooker with vinyl kitchen gloves and pull the meat apart and remove any bones, so the chicken looks like pulled pork.
Then I put that in the fridge.

I don't think you need a meat grinder.

I can't live without a pressure cooker. It's a stovetop one, not one of those instapot things.

Make sausages. Grind ~15% very finely, , the rest very coarsely, keep it cold. Throw in some ice cube here and there. Mix well, season with whatever - maybe cumin, nutmeg, black pepper. Smoke or just barbecue. Give some to your dad. Freeze the rest.

the left side is a motor literally the only cleanup is the grinding tube which comes right off with a hand fastener.

ive used a grinder before. theres bits of meat that fall on the floor, lots of cross contamination. washing hands many many times if you are a sterile clean person while making food. even the utensils you are using while operating machine will become contaminated. obviously, like most people, hand washing and multiple cleaning of utensils will be skipped. its a huge germ disaster.

when you detach the motor and the grinding tube, your hands, the grinder, the motor surface, the flats, literally everything is covered in grease and germs lol. the kitchen counter, the floor, the meat package. lol.

This anon knows how to grind his meat... I'm planning on getting a grinder after I buy or build a curing chamber so I can make fermented sausages and salami. I could see using it to grind meat for cooking, but I have a good local butcher who does it for cost plus 25¢ a pound.

They are useful if you want to DIY sausages but it's literally cheaper to buy any kind of mince from the grocery store than to make your own. Beef, pork, turkey & chicken mince are all MUCH cheaper than buying cuts or carcasses, butchering them and running them through a mincer. If you want to save money, just buy packaged mince, mix and season it yourself and form it into patties & freeze them. I bought one a couple years ago and used it exactly twice to make sausages and never once used it to make burgers or anything else. It had a neat attachment for juicing and straining tomatoes though that I probably should have used more often before I got rid of it.
