There are three types of Kewpie in the American market. The original, Japanese formula can be found at oriental grocers. At some of those and at some normal grocery stores, you can get the American formula which is more watered down and doesn't contain explicit MSG (just yeast extract). Then there's the Costco formula which is just as watered down but with explicit MSG reintroduced.
If you go to an oriental grocer to buy this, make sure the ingredients explicitly say Monosodium Glutamate or else you're falling for the inauthentic American version.
