2% usually because it generally has the latest expiry date and I don't drink that much milk. I don't know if it's something about the exact fat content or the supply chain, but it's pretty consistently good for a week more than whole and much much more than skim (which tastes like water anyway).

Higher fat content equals more flavor.

However, dairy, or at least standard dairy, in the US sucks. Butter often tastes oxidized straight out of the pack, and milk is a little weird. Turns out, I learned, that most dairy cows in the us are not grass fed most of their lives, this results in crap dairy.

Make sure to get 3-4.5% fat, but most importantly, get milk (and other dairy products) that is produced by grassfed cows. Nevermind the organic or whatever, grassfed is what is important.

So, higher fat equals more flavor, but it's either more shit flavor or more great flavor depending on what the cows chow down on.

I haven't got a clue what the %ages refer to either. I'm a bong, here milk is sold as skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole. when I was a kid I drank a lot of skim milk and I think it was possibly a mistake.

milk is delicious, but if you drink skim, which takes out the fat, what you end up with is a drink with all of the sugar and none of the fat.

I think its better for you to enjoy the sugar and the fat and treat milk as what it is: something delicious that should be enjoyed as a treat. similar to fruit juice, which is all of the sugar without any of the beneficial properties of the roughage

anyways I'm 32 and cant grow a beard and I kind of blame all of the sugar I had as a kind (including cereal for breakfast, and then Id be hungry at like 10:30)
