There's no name for it, but my Mommy basically makes a sub with both shredded braised pork+beef type sandwich. It has thousand island sauce, shredded cabbage/carrots/cucumber (with a drop of vinegar in them), cheddar slices and very thin, crispy onion+potato fritters (potatoes were mashed, combined with onion slices and mixed with cornstarch, flattened extremely thin and put on freezer for some time to stiffen up, before frying). Once the sub is done, she slightly toasts in toaster oven for about 2 minutes (covering the top with very subtle amounts of garlic butter). She serves me this with sugar-less peach ice tea. I love braised meats.

The swiss cheese should offer some richness that substitutes nicely for what could otherwise be the fat of aged, seasoned steak.
