I have a french press but I hate cleaning it and so I do unironically just put my coffee into a pot, but I actually prefer it. I don't let it boil because that makes it acrid and if you simply pout it between another pan or like a measuring cup, all the grounds settle to the bottom and you basically decant it. my doctors aid melatonin has more of a placebo effect than real effect. they won't prescribe you benzodiazepines first, most likely after melatonin comes quetiapine which will put your ass to sleep and it doesn't cause an addiction but the downside is the first month or two of use is really hard because it makes you feel tired even if you sleep 12 hours. most people don't get over this phase, but eventually it stops when your body gets used to it

the difference is benzodiazepines work better, you don't feel that sleepy (in comparison) and you feel like you slept better. but eventually you notice it doesn't work anymore and you gotta increase the dosage and some people can manage it, some people end like me buying pills pressed in some garage in the balkans sold on the darkweb

>> No.19482929

>>19482917
I used to take queitapine actually, you're right it really knocks you out, never slept heavier than I did on those, but yeah as you also mentioned I had to sleep 12+ hours every night, getting up before was just not an option. I was prescriped benzos at one point, as a one-time thing (at that point it was to counteract the side effects of other medicine I was on) and it made me sleep but for me the effects were pretty much gone in less than a week and I upped the dose so fast I ran out of pills very quickly.
The best sleeping pills I ever took was Zopiclone (if I remember correctly, it was long ago). Wasn't prescriped those but my mother had and they didn't work for her so she gave them to me, knowing I had trouble sleeping. They worked really well but as I mentioned in my first post, I could feel an addiction building fast, probably just a mental addiction but even so. I would love getting those pills again but my sense tells me it's better to stay away. Chamomile tea seems to help somewhat but only for the initial falling asleep, not the staying asleep.

Just pour hot water in a cup with grinds. Wait 4 minutes. Scoop out the floaters. Then wait about another 4 minutes for the rest to settle. Then drink down to ~1/4 inch. Works great as long as you don't disturb the grinds back up.

>> No.19484229

The original "espresso" machines just pissed out piping hot filter coffee using a large boiler. Pressure wasn't a thought. Basically a hot water tap over a small bed of coffee so you could fill fresh cups quickly. That's the "espresso" that moka pots make. Very different from "traditional" 9bar high body 1:2 shots in 25-30 a la gaggia's patent. "Modern" espresso is a completely different drink as well. Lighter roasts, longer ratios, lower peak pressure(still way higher than a moka can produce), but you're using that lower pressure to target a specific flowrate.

Wrong. Italians rinse their mokapots with hot water which is enough to clean it and keep it in good shape. The myth that Italians don't clean is just a myth. You gain nothing from letting old coffee build up. In fact, what you actually get is a sour, spoiled brew.
What you're seeing in that video is somebody who has either repeatedly scrubbed their mokapot with something abrasive or put theirs in a dishwasher machine, which you're explicitly told not to do by the manufacturer. Pic related, a mokapot after one cycle through a dishwasher.
