I meant breaded but I guess I'm just a retard. Basically the same as breaded chicken. Butterfly, season, cover in flour/egg/bread crumbs, fry it in a pan and bam, you're done. Very simple but I don't need more to be satisfied.

Yummy. Little tip for frying, try to find "Potato Flour". Its dehydrated potato blended into a powder or something, should be in the organic flour section. Pretty expensive but fuck, crispness is insane, think crunchyness of potato chips surrounding an entire piece of meat. Definitely worth it.

Enjoy your fast food threads, faggots.

>> No.19459347

>less than 10% of the food and cooking board is...people talking about food!
Reminder that fast food was never the problem with /ck/. I'd rather argue with a drunk line cook eating Taco Bell than scroll through a reddit hugbox of things youtube-taught home cooks are "most proud of".
>>19459145
"Post your food" threads are garbage because there's no engagement. OP obviously just wanted to post his goatse bread thing, and everyone else just wants to post their own shit but are too scared to make an actual cookalong thread. YOU are the reason there's so much crap on the board, because you keep trying to make OC containment threads, instead of just posting your OC and seeing what comes of it. It's the same shit that the cat blog guy did. That's why the catalog looks likes shit; not a few people talking about Burger King.

>> No.19459379

>>19459347
The worst is that one asshole who posts some dog vomit his girlfriend made and captions "the dinner, chuck it or fuck it" or some inane comment.

When someone is actually posting information about cooking or asking questions and others are answering, there are literally trolls that try to derail the thread. I've seen random threads here and there about various subjects, but one perennial type of thread is the ones about cookware, for example. Or the threads that pop up from time to time about Jaapnese food. A lot of these will be surprisingly fruitful for conversation, but there's always like two or three trolls who just shit all over the thread, and I mean posting off-topic spam, animal abuse images, and jannies don't do shit. In fact, I have been banned for reporting spam because the mods are just that bad.

I clearly explained my issue. I don't like OC generals. You have a problem with a bunch of threads you think aren't very interesting, and your answer is to make a single thread where all the actual cooking is supposed to get posted. That leaves room for 149 fast food threads.

Actually still delicious, but it wildly changed the flavor profile. Also the pineapple tasted a lot better reheated. Didn't see that coming.

Tonight's dinner. Made Sloppy Joe's from scratch (even the buns), fries, zucchini, shishito, and gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms. I didn't take a photo(not that there was anything impressive to photograph), but I made an orange, ginger and brown sugar tea last night
>add some ginger slices, mace and orange zest to a pot, let boil for as long as you want
>add about 2-3 tablespoons of sugar(I used palm sugar), scale depending on amount of water you're using
>squeeze some fresh orange juice, the more tart they are the better
>once satisfied with the simmered liquid, take it off the heat and mix it with the fresh juice while its hot(ratio should be about 2 parts liquid to 1 part juice)
>serve with a spoonful of rum and as much water as preferred if too thick

Yup, she did. Though slowly, as we drank and she nibbled away at it. She's actually a bit of a weirdo in that regard. We were at a Mexican joint many years ago (when we lived in the US) and she ordered a molcajete. It was huge. A mountain of food in front of a tiny Japanese girl (she's like 110lbs, tops.) The dude at the next table was like "I bet you can't eat all of that." I said, "Just watch" and grinned. She blasted the whole thing and all while snacking on chips and cheese dip. He said "Damn, I'm impressed"and he and his family left the restaurant. We finished up a bit later, and when we went to pay, it turns out he covered our bill. Cool dude, mystery honor-your-wager-guy.

We have "what did you cook" threads fairly often, but they're not a staple because most of /ck/ doesn't cook.
Anyway I made pic related yesterday, doesn't look great but it was delicious. I was following a recipe from some infographic I grabbed here, I fried some onions in a pan, then added garlic and ginger and then chopped chicken breast. Cooked that for a bit and the added chicken stock and cooked it until it evaporated. Now at this point I had skipped a few minor ingredients but a major one was coconut cream and I realized too late I didn't have it (while following a fucking coconut chicken recipe) so I used some whipping cream I had instead. Served with rice, turned out pretty nice. This pic does not do justice to how white this dish was.
