I work in Japan and 4 years ago my company started hiring foreigners like me that can barely speak Japanese because the Japanese engineers are fucking garbage due to shit like this.

The quality they produce isn't bad, but they take 20x longer than they should to do simple things because everything needs to be autisticly double and triple checked, noone wants to take the sole responsbility for literally anytihng, they need to follow arbitrary textbook guidelines for programming even when it makes no fucking difference at all (the most important thing is no security-related bugs or exploits and consistency within your organization, not "did you follow the Kotlin community guildelines according to the textbook 100%" you fucking autists), and a project they did that took 6 months while working 12-16 hour days, we did with a smaller team in 4 months working 8 hours or less days the whole time.

Japanese programmers are fucking shit. The only good one I've meet is a guy who went to University in Florida and then came back to Japan. He's a bit socially weird but not as fucking retarded as everyone else in this country.
