People stare in wonder at me being a british male who can cook like I'm some sort of wizard or magician. I don't even cook anything that remarkable (stews, casseroles, spag bol, etc) but i tend to not buy ready-meals.
Several times people have seriously asked me if I was gay because I said I like cooking.

Someone asked me if I was "gay or posh or sumfing" because i was drinking water the other day.

Most of Britain isn't more intelligent or culturally intricate than your average fly-over state yet we have the cheek to look down our noses at others.
