Most surgeries are scheduled far in advance and are done without interruption. That's not "time sensitive". ER doctors are completely desensitized to losing people, and it's not like a hospital is going to close if a couple people die. It's completely different, and doctors are typically not stressed. I have a couple doctors in the family and they're unironically some of the most laid back, detached people I know.
