Would you eat food served outside your local Home Depot? This seems to be the newest trend

i went to canada and ate mcdonalds inside a fucking walmart
it was surreal to me because shouldnt they use walmart products to make the food to increase sales of the products
btw breakfast burritos from mcds are fucking dire

In the US there are small fast food places, Starbucks, even bank branches inside Safeway and other large grocery stores

i was just really surprised because walmart is what we call asda and they use asda products in the cafe. unless walmart is owned by mcdonalds?

Here in california at least Starbucks' being in places like Target (a general store like walmart) and bookstores like barnes and noble is very common. Not that there's many bookstores left but that's a different problem. Never seen a mcD's in a walmart though.

coffee stores are completely fine i totally get that, having a coffee either before after shopping is nice (i go on shopping trips with my mother and drink a coffee from the cake bar) but i saw this in canada. just a bizarre idea from all viewpoints in my opinion

I think the logic is:
no one would trust a Walmart employee to make edible food, so let's just outsource our in-store cafe and take a small profit from rental fees and revenue sharing

>> No.19262301

Home Depot used to have a low-end chain burger place bridging the two entrances. It did give an excuse to go there and walk around.
>>19262131
It'a not a stand though. They're using too much power (outside TV, fountain drink machine) not to be attached to the store. Could be owned by whoever's operating the location.

A lot of the specialty services in walmart are outsourced. The photo place, the optician, the nail salon. So yeah, Walmarts (when they opened across Canada) all used to have a Mcdonalds location inside. Some have closed down. A few have converted to Burger Kings.

interestingly the walmart near me has both a Burger King and a hot food counter and deli
