Yurp here. Recommend me some American hot sauces, I like the milder ones thus far.
I bought a case of Old Bay a while back as they were on sale in some webshop, but they aren't available anymore.

Valentina. Chalula green pepper variant. Marie Sharp's mild. Crystal as other people have said. You should try Tabasco if you've never had it. It's very distinct but personally I don't eat it regularly. Frank's is middling and is basically the ketchup of hot sauces.

If you're willing to step up to something spicy I recommend El Yucateco. It's very good for a mass produced sauce. I've made Habanero sauce from my garden and El Yucateco is just as good. Dave's Ghost Pepper sauce is good as well but extremely spicy.

Avoid: Tapatio (inferior Valentina) , Secret Aardvark (tastes like mild taco bell sauce) Texas Pete (strangely sweet tasting), La Botanera (vile Mexican sewer water)

Wild card: Blis hot sauce. They age it in barrels that formerly held bourbon so it has a very faint but pleasant oaked flavor.

Obviously there are hundreds of indie hot sauces that ive never tried but I eat hot sauce daily and these are the ones that I've kept around for the last decade.
