I make this soup a lot and it's really good. It's simple enough, I dont think I know how to cook well, yet it turns out fine every time.
>half pound of bacon
>1/2 packaged Polish sausage
>1 large russet potato
>1 large yellow onion
>a whole bulb of garlic
>1 quart of chicken or beef stock
I usually use chicken
>1 pint of beer
the best flavor I think is Warsteiner. I used this because I could buy a couple bottles by themselves at Kroger. The 2nd best is just a cheap American beer, NOT a light beer though. So Coors Banquet or something like that.
>a small-medium jar of sauerkraut
I have used canned and it's not as good. Get the more expensive German sauerkraut in a jar

Shred the potato with a cheese grater, and cook it to brown it a bit then set aside in a bowl or some shiet. Then make the bacon as crispy as you like, when it's close to being how you like, put the diced onion, chopped half sausage and thinly sliced garlic in there. when the onions start getting clear, add your hashbrowns back in. Dont use high heat for any of this until you want to boil the stock.
Now add the quart of stock and pint of beer and the sauerkraut then bring to a boil. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes and it's ready.
Of course, season the onions and whatnot to your liking, there is no wrong way to do that. I like regular old seasoned salt. And I like a lot of garlic, obviously and I think it being thin sliced it great, but that is the most time consuming part so you could just use a garlic press or whatever that thing is, I dont have one. I think slicing the garlic really thin really makes it.

I've had that but it was pizza, taco pizza and it was awesome. I do that myself these days, I get some extra thin, extra crispy pizza and put chili on it. Good times, I just wish I had a cute girl to share it with.

>easy to cook
This easiest i can imagine is frozen meat dumplings. Bring water to boil, throw dumplings in, simmer for 5 minutes, drain, smash sauce you like into it, that's it. Ir you can fry them if you want some crust.
