Oh I'm not saying people shouldn't use store-bought sauce. There are plenty of good options at the store that pleases just about everyone.
I'm only offering a recipe as a recommendation and reminder that making your own sauce at home is easy enough for most people if they feel like making it themselves. And you can adjust flavors to your personal preference (many store-bought bbq sauces tend to be too sweet for my liking and thus other people may feel the same), plus you can make stuff at home that you can't necessarily buy at the store like the garlicy, tomatoey, hollandaise that I wrote.
