What's your favorite kind of fries?
For me, it's seasoned curly fries.

Since you already took the obvious answer, I'll go with these wedge fries I made at home. It's a copy of the kfc wedge fries, really easy but delicious.

it's true, curleyfrais are the way to go.

which of course are seasoned with pickerel

Clearly the superior option. The grooves enhance the dipping experience and ensure maximum sauce retention. Personally I find they pair very well with stone ground mustard

not him but steak fries are a type of fry that's thick and chunky, usually has the skin on, and is often seasoned generously. i guess it's the rustic kind of fries commonly served at steakhouses. plus you don't want delicate little shoestring fries on the plate with an intimidating steak

>> No.18775785

>>18775758
yes they taste so much better, is this seasoning you mentioned more based than old bay? non-american here btw. we don't have that kind of seasoning here in europe but i recently ordered a big "bottle" of old bay. kinda like it desu, it's so good on shrimps etc

>> No.18775811

>>18775785
they're very different and I wouldn't want to try and make the call that one is better than the other. I'm from up north and Lawry's is much more commonly used than Old Bay but that's just because we don't really have the same regional dishes. I did make crawdads with Old Bay once though and it was terrific

>> No.18775816

My favorite are the fries that have those little bits of crispy crumbs fried to them. I can't find a picture and I don't know the name. Does anyone? They are so delicious.

These are great. Safeway makes pretty good ones hah.

Ok, appreciate the info. I think I'll buy that one as well then from some expat shop. what i learned to appreciate about American seasonings is that they serve their purpose in different ways. mostly ending up really good flavors. Thanks will order and try it out.

No place does waffle fries like Chick Fil A, don't know how they come out so soft, my favorite by far.
But for a normal style fry that can be good anywhere, I like crinkle cut

>> No.18777655

I don't much care for crinkle cut but

>baked until crispy and served with mayo and leftover pease gravy

not gonna lie this is actually really nice rn

when they're not hot to the touch, yeah. There's somehow a crispiness on the edges, not burned, but a perfect hot and soft middle. It's like how Checkers fries are good even though they're mushy piles that fall apart. but i will admit there are off days for CFA, like getting the nuggets or a sandwich right when they change their oil so it comes out pale and unsatisfying
