Depends on your genes.
There's a compound that not everyone has the genes for tasting it.
Those that can taste it describe it as soapy.

There's a related gene for an extremely bitter compound in broccoli.
it was kind of funny: in one of my biotech courses everyone got a paper strip that was soaked with said bitter compound, and we all tasted it together.
~80% of the class, including myself, tasted absolutely nothing but wet paper, but the other ~20% all immediately scrunched up their faces due to the intense bitter flavor.
We then did a gel electrophoresis for each student to isolate the gene in question.
