Uber drivers are usually the ones who deserve a tip considering most of their job consists of dealing with the worst people on earth who happen to also be stuck in a car with them for God knows how long.

If you're talking about Australia you are wrong at least in this case. Most delivery drivers are very carefully not considered employees but rather contractors, this clears the employer of several liabilities; including minimum wage, injury claims, and health cover.

i deliver for uber eats and the tip notifications are delayed.

i'd just like to add that i like getting all tip. even the little ones because each tip is a pat on the back for a job well done and i like receiving recognition of my good efforts so all tips are welcome. most tips are around $2-$5 but every now and then i'll get a $20 tip because the customer liked me that much. tips are like likes. the more the customer likes me the more they'll tip me and i like being liked.
