The lowest amount possible. Most of the people who do it do it hoping to get rich quick or just want to smoke weed and drive all day and call it their job. Uber drivers are usually the ones who deserve a tip considering most of their job consists of dealing with the worst people on earth who happen to also be stuck in a car with them for God knows how long.

Anon be aware of two things when using food delivery apps:
1: you're being ræped on fees and upmarket
2: the poor cunt driving around town is quite literally being ræped even worse

If you're First World Lazy™ enough to grubhub or über eats or menulog like a sickly old fat woman you tip.

I feel like a fat rich white woman sometimes who can't get off the couch and when I order to my house always add $5 tip (for a ~$30 order) because that's my Useless Tax.

If you're talking about Australia you are wrong at least in this case. Most delivery drivers are very carefully not considered employees but rather contractors, this clears the employer of several liabilities; including minimum wage, injury claims, and health cover.

no.

i deliver for uber eats and the tip notifications are delayed.

i'd just like to add that i like getting all tip. even the little ones because each tip is a pat on the back for a job well done and i like receiving recognition of my good efforts so all tips are welcome. most tips are around $2-$5 but every now and then i'll get a $20 tip because the customer liked me that much. tips are like likes. the more the customer likes me the more they'll tip me and i like being liked.

Why do people tip if it's food but not anything else

All your mountains of shitty trinkets from amazon, you don't tip one cent on any of it. Order a 50lb bag of dog food and you live on the top floor of some shithole apartment and you don't tip so much as a fucking dollar.
