it's that time of the year, share your best/usual eggnog recipe

6 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup bourbon
1 cup rum
1 cup cream
1,5 cups milk
1 pinch of salt
some nutmeg to garnish

separate the yolks from the albumens, whip with 1/2 cup sugar, add the bourbon, refrigerate for 1h, then add the rum, cream and milk, whip the albumens with a pinch of salt and a tiny bit of vinegar to make them more stable, add the sugar and then fold into the liquid
serve with a tiny bit of nutmeg on top

In my Eastern (Central) European shithole we do it this way:
5 egg yolks
4 spoons of powdered sugar
2 cans of condensed sweetened milk (800ml)
Vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
Rum/vodka/homemade liquor

Recipes usually say to just mix yolks with sugar, pour in condensed milk and mix again. Stir in alcohol of your choice until you have the desired consistency and strenght. Recipes vary slightly. Sometimes garnished or spiced. This is the base recipe. Im sure some of the other Euros can relate.
