How can I take my cooking to the NEXT LEVEL?

I feel like I'm king of the mids where I am at currently. I can make an excellent Thanksgiving dinner that people will complement and bring up months later, but I feel like I haven't really made anything truly impressive

Covering stuff with chocolate is nice but adds so many calories and wastes a lot of chocolate too :(

Practice. Let’s be real OP, you probably aren’t that good of a cook right now.

You can probably handle one item of a meal at a time and do it very fell. I.E you cooked a great thanksgiving turkey and the gravy but nothing else substantial.

So,
1. Learn what foods pair well together and experiment with pairings that are not obvious. (No shit turkey and mashed potatoes taste good together)
2. Learn to cook different dishes simultaneously, especially ones that rely on the broth/drippings from another dish.
3.Learn to do the above and time it correctly. The main dish and sides should be timed to come together so they all taste like they were just cooked. No mashed potatoes that were left in the oven to stay warm. No veggies overcooked from being left on low heat.
4.Learn to make sauces
