Are cook alongs the best threads on /ck/? They seem to be.
I'm going to make lasagna tonight. I don't know if I feel like taking a zillion pictures during cooking and posting them here. But if you nigger faggots want it I'll do it. Went well last time I made something.
Pic related is how it looked last time.

Finally mixed it all together. Added a splash of the $7 wine because I think you're supposed to or something. Now it cooks for an hour and a half. If you haven't done this before make sure you cover it. Tomato sauce likes to bubble and splatter all over the place even on a simmer.

Buy London broil

Cover London broil in soup mix
Wrap in foil
Cook for hours until tender
Eat with a1 sauce

Sometimes I put veggies in with the meat to cook along with it but usually just mashed taters. You use the drippings from the meat mixed with the soup mix for gravy, and when you cook veggies with it they tend to soak it all up

>> No.18396216

>>18394395
Yes, the issue is that they don't get enough engagement while you're cooking so they're very low reward for the cook. The comments trickle in afterwards but you're already done and commenters on /ck/ don't cook anyways so the discourse is low quality and unfulfilling.

Sauce might could have too much water - not reduced enough. When you make the ragu, make sure you cook it for a long time, and uncovered (so excess liquid evaporates). You should be able to stand a spoon up in it.

Looks grey. Use an enamel cast iron dutch oven (not non stick) to brown the meat to the point where it sticks to the bottom of the pan. Then deglaze with wine, but not before throwing in the herbs to toast until fragrant, about 1 min
