How did the US MREs lose out??

>> No.18383473

There's only one man I trust when it comes to MREs and that man is not him.

Because most of the US R&D budget has shifted to producing vegan kosher bottom-friendly MREs. Plus most drone operators just eat hot chip from the vending machine.

Literally no one shit on russian mres.

American MRE’s are more of a single meal, that specifically have to be created and packed in a way to survive an airdrop, hence why DoD shit has that packaging even if the civilian stuff is the exact same thing made by the exact same people. Russian rations come in a box with three courses, and are pretty much just canned goods and other shit.
>>18383594
Their MRE’s are the one thing the Russian military still does right. When they aren’t expired and stored completely improperly that is.

iirc the russian ones was just a bunch of supermarket canned foods which obviously isn't great to carry around. doubt it really matters in foxhole warfare though so w/e

"Russia takes most of the 'research' money and instead just buy quality ingredients for their MRE"

You forget this is Russia we are talking about. What probably actually happened was someone was handed an insane amount of cash to come up with MREs, pocketed nearly all of it, then sent someone to go buy bulk orders of commercial canned products with whatever was left.
