Do you buy kitchen gadgets?

>> No.18372747

Yes, I buy tools to help me cook such as ways to generate heat and transfer that to the food and also plates and vessels which are used to hold the things I want to consume

Depends what is considered a gadget. I bought a chinese cleaver recently to see how different it is to use compared to a western chef knife.

If you go mushroom hunting it's useful. You can have mushrooms for the whole year. Also powdered dried mushrooms are great in meatballs.

My mum buys quite a lot and sometimes gives them to me when she is bored of them. The cupcake maker is quite good, cakes turn out lovely in it, although I have only used it once.

I really regret getting mine. My bro in law got me the base device as a funsies thing, but then I went and got like 6 different attachments. They're all sitting in my storage closet weighing a hundred fucking pounds because they're super fucking dense.

I should have just bought an on-sale Kitchenaid mixer a got the 1-2 pasta maker attachments. Because at least the KitchenAid can do other shit like be a meat grinder and mixer. You can ONLY MAKE PASTA with pasta makers.

mostly no.
I can generally tell by looking at them if they are useful or not. most kitchen gadgets are unitaskers and garbage. people have given me them as gifts. those people should DIAF. 99% of these have been donated or thrown away.

Received one of these big hunks from a family member and it's okay. I practically only use it for dehydrating. If I'm cooking then I prefer to fry or grill food in other ways.
