This stuff is absolute dogshit and you know it. It literally tastes like almost nothing, it's the most weakass canned chili I've ever had. It somehow manages to even get blown out by fucking Hormel chili (which might as tell be toxic sludge) I live in MT and my Costco sell this brand and right smack dab next to it Cattle Drive chili which so totally anally blows out Nalley chili that it's legit laughable they're being sold in the same fucking store/area/price point.

Source: I bought the like 12 pack of Nalley's one time and forced myself to eventually finish it so as to avoid wasting it. God that stuff is god aweful.

I'm not saying chili with beans isn't chili, but I am saying that adding beans to chili just makes a shittier pot of chili. Chili doesn't need beans and beans actually ruin the flavor and texture of an otherwise good pot of chili. Why people defend them so much boggles my mind.

First of, biological male and identify as a biological male. Straight. I use black beans, not from a can and I know how to prepare them. There are many applications where beans are excellent. Beans are a great vessel for other flavors. However, when it comes to chili it feels like they are an unnecessary component. Instead of taking their usual role of absorbing flavor, they become mere filler that detracts from their surroundings. They feel like a poor mans way to fill more mouths with a single pot rather than being a vital addition.

There is no way to make chili without simmering beef, so I don't know why you think the meat in the video is "boiled" while the meat in the written recipe is not! The only chili I scarfed down and wanted more of was Wendy's copycat chili. When you brown burgers in tallow and then break down them into chunks it creates a flawless chili, it barely needs any extra ingredients and no condiments.

Cumin, cayenne, paprika, lots of chili powder, beef stock, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, corn, brown sugar, black beans, kidney beans, L&P Worcestershire, splash o' lager, all in and simmer for 2 hours...topped off with green onion, Montery Jack fromage, and crushed Tositos. Nothing too unconventional about it, but I've spent lots of time in the lab perfecting this one, my pots come out awesome and even better the next day.

Thats adovada beef
Delicious and could be a cousin to Chili but not full on Chili in the American style

Its slow cooked in a thick broth made with blended red chilies and tomatoes onions garlic and such

Its fucking amazing, especially when its made with hot hot chilies. The savory and spicy burns so good.

But then you pay the price when that thick broth burns on the way out lol

good chili = the sauce is made out of blended peppers
bad chili = the sauce is mostly tomato with a sprinkle of chili powder in it

this is how many peppers I use for 2lbs of meat. tomatofags will only use a couple tablespoons of powder for as much plus like half a gallon of tomato and probably beans too.

>> No.18347789
