Bowl? Not sure I know wtf you mean.
>what’s your average pop time?
idk, never timed it. Put kernels in metal bowl/pot, add oil (or ghee or whatever, if I have it), lid that shit (if it's the bowl, put foil over it and attach the camping pot handle to it) and put it on the heat.
When it starts popping, I shake it about carefully and keep going until the popping stops then pour out into the bowl (or just remove the foil if I'm using a bowl) and season to taste.

I would just like to point-out that Orville Redenbacher is the one who bred and marketed the 2-3 varieties of popping corn that completely changed the whole landscape of popcorn. He's a pretty brilliant agronomist and food scientist and every single brand posted ITT uses his kernels.

Not necessarily. Last time I made it I was alone in a bare apartment after my personal life had absolutely crumbled around me in a two week blazing inferno of bad decisions and regretful statements, leaving me with nothing but a cancer stricken dog and OTA tv. I struggled to summon the courage to live, and yet, I had to admit, that it was one hell of a bowl of popcorn.

>> No.18324604

>>18324575
This is a Jewish lie. Redenbacher was a charlatan cheapskate who preyed on honest corn salesmen and farmers across the midwest as he cobbled together a hulking behemoth of a company that cornered the industry and basically extorted corn-labor in exchange for the use of his "likeness" which itself was a carefully engineered mockery of the good corn farmers that he was actively bleeding dry.

I eat an assload of popcorn so I like the variety

if shaking kernels every 30 seconds is "exhausting" then you should see a doctor.

Exhausting was the wrong word, I meant tedious

this stuff is based but you really have to be careful about how much you use. If you follow the instructions on the back you'll add way too much.

Just started using the cast iron for popcorn. Super easy and fast af. Just coconut oil, kernals and salt. Best tasting I've had ever too. Can even do candy coating very fast too. Just panela (sugar), salt, water and oil/butter in same pan after transferring the popcorn to a bowl. Could even put chocolate or other shit in the mix.
