Funny enough, one of my go to my comfort foods is actually something I saw the cooks on an Army base making. It’s literally just a grilled cheese with a fried egg on it but it’s amazing in its simplicity and richness.

Pinto beans, chicharon with meat, chile de arbol, salt, pepper. Eaten with tortillas not fork/spoon.

Freshly baked bread from any bakery near me, no matter if the bread is of good quality or not as long as it is hot.
I mostly do it since one time I finished a night shift and passed by a store when they were putting out-of-the-oven bread on their display racks. I bought a pair and couldn't stop eating them once I was back home.

On the stove I enjoy deep frying Hill Country Fair brand pizza rolls with a specific amount of oil to get the right crunch and internal heat inside of the pizza roll. I think HFC rolls are superior to the brand names. Each pizza roll is like my own miniature hot pocket. And no i'm not a fatass either.
