18281553 No.18281553 [Reply] [Original]

Replace seed oils in your diet with healthy fats and oils.
Unhealthy seed oils:
Canola/rapeseed oil
Corn oil
Soybean oil

Healthy fats:
Tallow (beef fat)
Lard (pork fat)
Butter o Ghee (clarified butter
Extra virgin olive oil
avocado oil (without rancid oils mixed in)
coconut oil

You wat to avoid the high linoeleic/omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acid ratio in seed oils. They cause inflamation and all sorts of deisease.

The ris ein cinsumption of them coincides with obesity.

Seed oils became common use around the time McDonald's replaced, I believe, beef fat in their fryers for canola oil around 50 years ago. Citing it as "healthier.". But these oils are anything but.

>You wat to avoid the high linoeleic/omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acid ratio in seed oils.
Then you should also be recommending grass-fed or pastured animal products as they have more omega 3 and less omega 6. Grass-fed beef has a 4:1 ratio of omega 6 to 3 which is close to ideal but grain-fed can be 10:1 or even worse.

I call them that because that's exactly what they are, a broken promise. Everyone wants Chuck back but instead we're given Sneed...

We're all given Sneed in our diet every single day. Its in everything. Not because its good for us. But because they hate us and they want us to be sick and keep buying their medicine forever.

Avocado and olive oil come from the flesh. Just because they have seeds doesn't mean that's where all the oil is coming from.

Most vegetable oil is high in omega 6 and low in omega 3 which has been linked to inflammation. Good quality tallow/lard/ghee from grass-fed or pastured animals is much healthier in that regard. People have survived on animal fat even in large quantities for a long time without health problems. Vegetable shortening was one of the worst things to consume for heart health. Excess weight and lack of exercise are also obviously big problems for heart health and that affects most people these days.

They're not necessarily good fats. They have a lot of saturated fat and not much omega 3 fatty acids. Also, ever heard of this stuff called cholesterol? This is all stuff that causes heart disease.

A limited intake of seed oil is considered good fat too, high monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat and low saturated fat with few exceptions. These all all associated with decrease in heart disease. Most are still too low in omega 3 fatty acids but can easily be supplemented with flaxseed oil.

Imagine calling lipoproteins "cholesterol" and not realising you're a fucking retard who doesn't know what they're talking about.

"seed oils" is a shit term, the problem is linoleic acid

as did everyone else up until the 20th century >>18300098. these days "no oil diet" is only practiced in civilized rural areas (see: not shithole rural).

Guys, I don't know what to believe anymore with regards to animal fats vs plant fats and their health effects. Mainstream science says that saturated fats like lard clog your arteries but a lot of people are saying that that's bullshit.

if you replace all of your oils with tallow and coconut oil you will die of a heart attack at 45

I never understood why rapeseed is supposed to be bad. It's high in monounsaturated fats, it has an excellent omega 3 to 6 ratio, it is neutral in flavour, high smoke point, and above all it is cheap as fuck. I'll continue to use it thanks. I understand being sceptical but that price can't be beat. Lard and olive oil have their place too but rapeseed is perfect for so many things.

The opposite actually. RCTs have tested this and Sneed oils will kill you more quickly

It's not bad. Seed oils = unhealthy is a meme, along with bullshit about "antinutrients" and so much more. Do not trust 4chan for your health.

feed a rat its body weight in saturated fat and see how well it does
most of the studies showing saturated fats are bad and unsaturated fats are good are bad science
what americans really need to do is stop eating like shit every day, moderation etc.

>> No.18302776

For me, canola oil is a heart healthy, delicious alternative to unhealthy saturated fats! I personally love the flavor of it on my salads in place of expensive olive oil, so I can still have an authentic Italian flavor!

>> No.18303141

>>18281553
the difference between saturated and unsaturated fat is going to be significantly bigger than that between high and low linoleic acid content, which by the way is going to have a negligible effect on your health
cis- vs. trans-fats are also going to have a much bigger impact
and as usual, next time post a source if you're making such a ridiculous claim

>the whole second line
how can anybody take a post like that seriously?
you're stating something that goes directly against a commonly established notion, you don't post any source, offer no explanation, and the claim is so vague you clearly read it somewhere and didn't spend any time to check whether it's true
>most of the studies [...] are bad science
which studies?
what makes them bad science?
which studies reaching the same conclusions are good science instead?
if some studies reaching the same conclusion are good science then why do you make it seem like the conclusion that's been reached is the cause of the problem?
