They don't and you have bad taste. You're tasting food coloring. It has a sweet chemical taste that only the most depraved humans enjoy. Everyone else will only tolerate it when it has the added bonus of making your tongue a funny color, or maybe they really enjoy festivity. They is me, I like bright colors on the holidays.

I like oreos but I wish there was an inverse variant of double stuff, like a version of oreos with half the filling. The filling is kinda gross, I mostly like the cookie itself and I scrape like half the filling out when I eat them.
