I am not much of a gamer and I really don't like marketing. For the most part I am far too snobby about both food and books to ever get involved in anything like this personally.

However, I can still see the appeal of vidyagame/franchise cookbooks when you're dealing with franchises where cooking and eating food is a big deal - LotR, Zelda, WoW, Runescape, Redwall, GoT. Those franchises and spinoffs put a lot of effort into describing food and feasting, involving food in their worlds, and making it feel more real and detailed. People who spend too much money on this crap are easily-led idiots, but at least it's thematically appropriate and I've spent money on different stupid stuff before. However, the cookbooks being posted in this thread are such absolute barrel-scraping trash that I don't understand how enough people would ever buy them to make them remotely profitable, even among superfan soyboys. This has to be an elaborate tax dodge, even if by some slight chance there's enough Halo fans out there to make it work, there's no way that anyone's buying a fucking Destiny cookbook.

So how often does she just rename the same recipes for each [BRAND] Official Cookbook?

For example in the Destiny one she gives a snitzel recipe but over in FFXIV she also gives a snitzel recipe but now it’s been twisted slightly to have more Asian ingredients.
