Can you recommend me some of the tastiest hot sauces? Especially habanero. Tapatio is a personal favorite of mine.

>Tapatio is a personal favorite of mine.
Always in my fridge, and I like it on latin dishes, like a microwaved goya tamale (cuban style).
I typically also have pepper vinegar for sprinkle or two on steamed veggies, or sauteed greens.
It's nice to have Cholula on eggs and Louisiana hot sauce on red beans, a sausage dish. or dirty rice.
I have a couple jars of pepper pastes, like pickled Calabrian chilies, sambal oleak (great for a tsp in dipping sauces, and super chili crisp. I have a habanero version of super chili crisp that I got off of amazon (didn't come from China).
I don't always want my chilies to taste like garlic, so be careful not to get rooster branded sambal everything.

I don't keep any at home, but sriracha is decent when dining out like in pho. Starbucks will serve packets with their breakfast sandwiches if you ask.

Honestly man, a handful of habaneros, juice of a lime or some vinegar, some salt, and maybe a clove of garlic and some spices (allspice is nice, as is oregano, as is mustard powder) or fruit (orange, mango, strawberry, kiwi and pineapple all play really nicely with habanero, but so does cucumber). Pop it in the blender, maybe with a bit of boiled cornstarch slurry or xanthan gum if you want it to be thicker.

If you like HOT, try Reaper Squeezins from PuckerButt Pepper company. I live 30 minutes from Ed Curry and his PuckerButt store. He is the guy that created the Carolina Reaper. Just a warning, though, this sauce it HOT. I don't mean like wow this is kind of hot, I mean it's food challenge hot. You eat half a teaspoon of this stuff and you're going to be dying for a good 20 minutes. It's 97% Carolina Reaper peppers and 3% vinegar. I believe they say it's the hottest or one of the hottest natural hot sauces in the world. Typically I'll add like a half a teaspoon to a giant thing of chili, or the same amount to a bottle of my favorite mild hot sauce, just to kick it up a notch. It has amazing flavor, but the heat is insane. I bought the bottle a year ago and I've used a third of it. Any doubters, buy the sauce and try it, then apologize.

Reapers aside, any hot sauce mentioning assholes on the label is strictly Bass Pro boomer-tier, something you get for your divorced dad on Father's Day. Skulls are pretty cringe too, but "lol shits and farts" is guaranteed to be the culinary equivalent of an Adam Sandler movie.

Nobody buys those sauces to actually eat them. You get them for Father's Day. You put the box on display in your workshop or garage, and as the decades slip through your fingers, you occasionally glance up at the dust-covered box, and just for a moment fondly remember a time when your estranged kids still called, and gently chuckle while remembering their precious childhood antics, how timidly proud they were to hand you that clumsily-wrapped Father's Day gift, which their mother selected from the "generic dad joke" section of Cabela's. Then, after you die, the box gets chucked in a dumpster along with the rest of your "junk" before the estate sale and the house flipping. The glass shatters, and as the sauce runs down the bottle, the funny man on the label appears to weep tears of coppery blood, and for a fleeting second there is a vinegary whiff upon the wind, bitter but alive... and then it is gone.

Nothing wrong with that. People here try to gatekeep homemade sauce, "ah you need to ferment for six months blah blah blah", but you can just chop the stems off whole fresh peppers, chuck the peppers in a blender with vinegar and salt, and boom baby, ya got yer first sauce, and hey, it's bretty gud.
