That shit's delicious. First had it at a cookout we were invited to when I was a kid by some friends my dad made during his time in Africa who now lived where we did.
It was so. fucking. good.
The size of the pot really stuck with me so whenever I see a giant pot like that, I just remember fondly my brother and I being the only white kids surrounded by African kids and splitting my time between playing soccer, playing gameboy and eating delicious-ass food.
And the story on the ride home when my dad's friend's extended family were at first apprehensive about having a bunch of white people up in their shit but, according to my parents, they said that at least we "aren't niggers."
Africans hate Ameriblacks even more than whites do.

I use my largest stockpot for canning

generally, I just don't need to use my largest though, I've got some nice mid-large-sized pots that aren't MASSIVE but are much higher quality.

Opened the thread to say this.
I have a huge one that I pretty much only use for brewing.
I guess you could also have some people over for a crawfish boil or something.

Brown veal fond:
6 kg deboned veal shank
5 kg veal bones
600 g carrots
400 g onions
100 g parsley stems
5 g bay leaves
10 g thyme
12 l water or white fond
3 g salt per liter

Brown meat, bones and vegetables in the oven, throw everything in the pot, add the water and herbs and cook for at least 12 hours and keep the water level at 10 liters. Skim the fat of from time to time or filter the fond through a sieve, let it cool down and take the solidified fond off.
I like ro reduce it to 2.5 l and freeze it in 50 ml portions so i end up with already reduced 200 ml of fond making cookinging sauces way easier and faster.
I use the flavourless meat for goulash afterwards.

Thanks, it's a bit old at this point. But the range is still in great shape so there isn't too much incentive to upgrade yet.
