How the fuck does this price make any sense? Advocaat is just glorified alcoholic eggnog. And its only 700ml thats not even a handle. Its imported sure but probably most expensive imported bottle of red wine I've bought was for $40-50.

I was reading Storm of Steel and Junger had an interesting passage about how his favorite drink was a glass of 1/2 Advocaat 1/2 red wine. I thought I'd give it a shot and Warnink is the recommended brand but Jesus fuck.

About the only brand I can ever find on the store shelf is Bols, which is pretty okay for $25. They're a Dutch company, too, so it's not like it's a knockoff, just cheaper.
You can make it yourself, too, just like you can make eggnog.

Dutchfag again, beware: advocaat is more like a cold brandy custard you eat with a spoon than something you can drink like eggnog. Mixing it 50/50 with wine both sounds incredibly gross and will probably still be too thick to drink without a straw.
