I made pizza with anchovies on my half the other day. It’s delicious.

I love anchovies on pizza and in salad dressing and all sorts of sauces .

I haven't ordered a pizza without anchovies in probably 15 years. It would be like ordering a burger well-done. Once you've seen how much better things can be there's just no way to go back unless you're at a children's birthday party or some situation where you're just being polite.

Anchovies filets are usually gross, especially because they're always from some dusty, old jar that's been open for 6 months because nobody orders them.

You shouldn't really taste anchovies, it's a subtle flavor enhancer not really a flavor that should stick out on its own.

I like it if it's done correctly. If they're going to be filets they should be very thin and salted and cooked in a high heat oven. If it's too thick and not enough moisture content is cooked out or removed in the preservation process you're gonna have a bad time.

Anchovies and any kind of tomato sauce are the perfect complement. Whenever I make my own sauce at home I always mince up some anchovies and add them in. Of course they go great on pizza.

It's almost like anchovies come in small containers and have a long shelf-life or something. Plenty of people still order them. Just because you don't see them at Domino's or Pizza Hut, doesn't mean that every shop doesn't carry them Chains that can make proper pizza carry them because their customers know they taste good on pizza. Domino's doesn't because they strive to appeal to the average child palate and nobody who eats there would be adventurous enough to try something that a 7 year old wouldn't eat.

It's not a meme at all. I always order anchovies for my pizza, but not all pizza joints stock them. They aren't the most popular ingredient, but they are flavor bombs, that's for sure. I have several cans in my pantry for when I make home made pizza. Just go lightly. One or two anchovies per slice. No more is needed.

I tried anchovies on pizza one time, I thought I'd like them because I eat tons of canned fish. They may as well have just cut a large chunk off of a salt block and thrown it onto the pizza. Idk if there are better anchovies but as of now I don't get the point

I split an anchovy pizza with my gf on our first date. It was the start of us eating adventurously together. After we started going steady, she brought over some crickets to make Oaxacan tacos. Even if one of both of us didn't enjoy it completely, we didn't regret it either.
