I was forced to move into the basement after my mother died and my sister got the house.

I have one hot plate.

Any recommendations for rice cookers? Something under 200€ would be nice.

I have only ever cooked rice in a pot but the "kitchen" counter isn't big enough for two hot plates so I'd put the rice cooker on the dining/in the hallway.

I don't really want to force her out of the house. She will have to sell me my part of the house eventually but she also can't afford that rn, neither could I afford to buy a smaller apartment in my area even with half the inheritance. (Plus if I live in the house for a few more months it falls under selling your residency which has a way lower tax than money inheritance)

It was always the plan for her to buy me out of the house since I was planning on moving anyways. We just hadn't expected our mom to die so soon. And I really don't want to cause a big stink if I'll move out next year.

I've seen those at the electronics store but are they any good? I grew up thinking rice cookers are a luxury item so I expected them to cost at least 100 bucks or more.

I have a bedroom. The basement was furnished into a decent apartment by my older brother. He always used the real kitchen upstairs so this "kitchen" was only supposed to be for making snacks. (Just made burgers but that's the kitchen. Ngl it sucks to cook in but I make do. I just can't heat multiple things at once).

I just don't like getting into fights with her and she gets particularly pissy when I use the kitchen. It's easiest to just avoid her.
