Recipe: Passover Lamb and Bread

I'm sure the translation is exactly the same as it was written but the recipe on its own is out of context. The point is that God is punishing Israel for its idolatry and also testing the faith of Ezekiel and the Israelites who will survive the destruction of Jerusalem. God only makes the cow shit concession because Ezekiel whines that human shit is too unfair of a punishment and although Old Testament God agrees he still has to punish the Israelites.

Any reference to devas is a reference to beings in the God or demi God realms. They are simply viewed as powerful beings on another plane, also bound in samsara. Specifically, the Digha Nikaya describes the life of the God Mahabrahma, and the Brahma-nimantanika Sutta describes how the Buddha, and consequently the dharma, are beyond the God realm. If you need to call Buddhism atheistic to feel better about your aversion to theism, fine, but you're not only wrong, you're deluding yourself. At best, it could be called anti-theistic, but that conveys a type of aggression that doesn't have any place in the dharma.
