you could hold one half of the pasta in water so the hot dog is just outside of the water, then when that side is boiled, slide the hotdog toward the boiled side then flip it over and do the same with the other side of the pasta

then you'd have cooked pasta and you could pan fry the hot dog with the past already in it

I have done this and it's eggsactly what happened. when the external posta was soft and tendre and ready to eat the interrnal posta was still hard and uncooked

Way back, my brother tried to convince his girlfriend at the time that squid dogs was a family recipe. This was after she'd already been around for half a year and had plenty of recipes handed down from my mom and grandma to me and had passed on plenty of my brother's "experiments" in cooking. So it took her a solid 3 seconds to call "bullshit". For years I thought squid dogs was just some nonsense he made up, so every time I see it posted I die a little inside.
