1. It's spicy enough to make you hot, but it's not hot enough to where you need to take breaks while eating.

2. Creamy and flavorful carbonation taste. Goes well with the heat.

Really? Carbo is my least favorite, the cheese flavor kinda ruins the experience for me. Jjajang is the best one imo, the sauce has a meaty, beefy smoky flavor that's just so addictive and craveable.

I hate that these are so big. I want my noodles to be a snack, not a damn meal. I wish they were half the size.

>> No.17413813

>>17413803
That's why you buy these, because they're an actual meal instead of just being a snack. If you want a little snack packet that still has good sweet taste, I recommend Indomie. The original is great, it comes with a bunch of little packets to build a sauce and some crispy fried onions for the top.

It's possible to get used to the heat. I found the Carbo ones to be very spicy but after eating enough of them it was fine. My dad has the 2x spicy ones regularly and they don't affect him much anymore.

Really? I've always appreciated the thicker noodles that Nongshim offer, but yeah give the kimchi a go, I'd argue they're the best all-around ramen I've found in terms of quantity, flavour and spice.

>> No.17414431

>>17414334
they're all hot, but most of them are around Shin Ramyun levels of hotness - so quite hot but not overwhelmingly so if you eat hot food occasionally
the 2x and 3x hot variety is just a meme. the pink one is probably the least hot if that's what you want

Lao Gan Ma seems like they use cheap oil, that gives it a metallic bitter taste. Fly By Jing has more garlic and is a little sweeter which to my western palate tastes much better. I swore by Lao Gan Ma for years but once I found this new stuff I never looked back.

Every single Buldak flavour I have tried, about 6, is completely flavourless other than the OMG SO SPICE meme bullshit that makes the whole thing not enjoyable. I don't know what OP is smoking but these are by far the worst noodles I've had.

I honestly advise everyone try the kimchi ones... sweet and sour and spicy, fucking tasty.
I got bored of constantly eating the 2x spicy ones, glad I ventured out into the other flavours.

>>17413544
Yep, definitely the best I've had so far... had my last packet last night, need to order more!

>>17413573
I love these ones, they're actually a lot spicer than I thought they'd be too, not 2x hot spicy, but definitely the 2nd hottest ones out of the lot... I fry up some beef and onions and add that to it.

The general appeal of Samyang isn't meme spice, there's plenty hotter noodles out there. They're loved because they put as much effort into making them taste nice as they did in making them hot.

I tried the cheese, which didn't taste like cheese at all. The curry, which didn't taste like curry. The 2x spicy which indeed was pretty spicy but had no flavour other than OH MAN THIS IS SPICY. The Jjajang (green) one was actually okay now that I think of it. The 40% lower calories one has no spice AND no flavour and the black bean one was just spicy and didn't taste anything like black bean sauce.

So whatever if you like them good on you I will stick with Nongshim or Ottogi.
