Do you have any favorite utensils like a favorite plate or knife or coffee mug that only you use at your house?

because I enjoy drinking coffee and booze, my little sister brought me back a cup from the nederlands with drawings of post-hangover coffee time. I am using that mug for nearly 15 years now

I enjoy using a mug that has a goose with a wreath. I broke both of my wolf mugs b/c of willful ignorance.

I have lots of utensils that I love, because I only buy quality. My fav atm is my Kuhn Rikon Epicurean Garlic Press. Makes using garlic easy since you don’t even have to peel the clove and it crushes it super easily and is also really easy to clean. Plus it’s all stainless steel and built like a tank.

I have a victorinox chef’s knife that’s going on 10 years old, its not even a high end knife or anything but its still as razor sharp as the day I got it, perfect at chopping and slicing. It has never seen a sharpener or the inside of a dishwasher. My wife knows she’s not even supposed to look at it much less touch it, she uses the block of kitchenaid chink shit we got for a housewarming present.

I've got some 1k+ weeb knives that are not just expensive, but also very difficult to come by. I wouldn't allow most people to do more than try them out with my supervision.

This mug also. It's so rare and valuable I don't even really use it. I'll just pour hot water in to watch the heat activated text show up and laugh with disgust at the evils of the sackler family.

I have a favorite coffee mug, mainly because it's the biggest mug we have.

Because cooking gets you bitches, that's why. In our era, over two-thirds of the western population sustains itself on food deliveries and pre-packaged meals. Despite the widespread availability of learning resources, very few people now perform cookery outside of professionals simply on account of having a more comfortable if less delicious alternative accessible. Having the ability to create edible things from "spare parts" is thus considered exotic.
