I order the cold cut combo on italian with lettuce, tomato, pickles, olives, and vinegar & oil.

Why? Because that’s how my father ordered them when we would get them when going over to my grandmother’s apartment. I guess I really love the bologna flavor. And I love how the sourness of the pickles olives and vinegar pair with it. And lettuce and tomato because that’s standard.

I just really like bologna I guess

Beware of this protein option when ordering from smaller, low traffic stores.
Sleazy managers are more likely to hold onto meatballs past the 8 hour mark from the hot well, in addition to, saving them for the next business day.

What's the deal with white people and their fear of toasted bread?
99% of the time snowflakes order hot sandwiches, but don't want their bread toasted. During a rush, white people slow the business down because they're special.

they actually have the pizza sub as a menu option, it hasn't been a "secret menu" thing for some time like it was in the early 2010s

They use the white american cheese and not the shredded mozarella though, and I'm not sure if its worth switching because they automatically give you double cheese with the default option.

Likewise they give you double pepperoni compared to the serving you'd get adding pepperoni to a blank sandwich (veggie delight) so order the pizza sub off the menu don't make it yourself custom

The whole "secret menu" thing is just a meme. Sure, there are additional order items in the "Store Options" P.O.S. menu that the owner or local field consultant allows, but, in reality, you can customize your sandwich and the employee will use the "Special Request" menu at the till to account for a specific amount of protein/dairy portions.
For example, if a store has the B.M.T., but not the italiano, it'd be a 12" veggie, spec. req. 6 salami, 6 pepperoni, 4 turkey.
(though, the price discretion between the "Add 1/2, Turkey" or "Turkey +4" approach is a catch 22)

That depends.
After working for seven different stores in two different parts of the country, I've never been at one that had ketchup behind the counter.

Can't defend them fully for defaulting to five passes (when it should be 3), however, since everyone's definition of 'a little bit' is always different, sometimes borderline inane/infantile, an employee whose had enough of people's bullshit goes off of instinct to get your ass out the door so they can get back to whatever they were working on before you waddled in. Doesn't always work out that way.
