I’m going out to eat today and treating myself for having to suffer through yet another disastrous holiday meal with my family. Once again they forgot they are not chefs and decided to make a bunch of fancy bullshit they had never so much as tasted let alone attempted to make and if that wasn’t enough they were attempting to adapt the dishes to feed a dozen people which meant changing how the food is cooked because you can’t pan sear food for a dozen people in a reasonable amount of time so they figured the broiler would be just as good. Needless to say they fucked everything up, half the food went in the trash before the meal even began and the other half was so badly prepared it was inedible/dangerous. So today I’m going by myself to an expensive steakhouse and having a quality meal prepared by people that don’t have their head up their ass and I’m going to insist I cater the next holiday meal because if I have to suffer through one more shit show of a holiday dinner I’m going to be on the news for committing a holiday massacre the likes of which have never been see.

This, but I'll turn my prime rib into a blackened prime rib sandwich on a french roll. No leftover potatoes to do with the gravy. I can't wait to hit up the leftover squash casserole, brussels and cranberry orange mold.

Usually I get the Wok Special as its cooked fresh and not from a bain-marie, but I can't be bothered shelling and dismembering 6 prawns again like I did last night, so probably gonna go for the chicken casserole with some veggies.
