We don’t use em, but one of our neighbors gets food delivered three or four times a day. I guess they must take food stamps or something, because the people that I know of who use doordash and Uber eats are all the people I would expect to be on assistance of some type.

I stopped using food delivery apps when their drivers lost 500 IQ and couldn't read instructions to find my apartment, the same instructions I copy-paste for pizza drivers who find it just fine. Then COVID hit and the apps made no-contact delivery the default and the drivers ignored it every single time. I've used it only once. During the early parts of the lockdown I wasnt technically allowed to leave my work building for lunch and ordered it for the McDonalds across the street. It took 45 minutes to get to me and the total after fees, tip, and tax was 2x the amount of the food itself. Haven't used it since. A problem I've never had with pizza guys.

Here in Serbia it's still pretty good. A lot of restaurants do free in house delivery and for those that don't the delivery fee is like 1-2 euros. Keep in mind the average wage is like 600 euros. But the delivery fee is the only surcharge we get unlike some of the pics I've seen for uber in the US and whatnot.

I don't drive and have back pain that can be pretty ruthless. I am fortunate enough to live literally a block from my local grocer and a drug store. Then there are a lot of restaurants I can walk to, which I enjoy. I started ordering from food apps as it really made life easier when I couldn't get myself out to the store. After a while I started learning to cook my favorite foods from takeout and now I find most of it boring subpar recipes. Almost all of it was making me sick as it is loaded with what fat people want to feel hit their endocrine system.

I'm switching it all out for grocery delivery. I can't go to the market each day but I can have groceries delivered in bulk and not have to worry about it anymore. After that delivery apps are still a godsend for me as I know I have them if I need them. Other than that I dislike the price for the quality.
