what possessed you to make a thread about it? I had my panettone and didn't think twice to come to 4chins to start a thread about it. what, are you going to make it yourself too? Make a sourdough version? Just shut the fuck up about the panettone already. We know it's good. Sit there and eat it quietly. No TYPING

Bro, shop here: https://www.eataly.com/us_en/holiday-market/panettone-pandoro

Olivieri 1882 is of the best artisanal panettone (top 10 of last year), the other ones are good too. They’re out of the classic one and only have the salted caramel and apricot one now, which sounds good to me desu.

Check the website everyday because they keep adding new ones.

It's supposed to be candied citron (which is a citrus fruit with a thick as fuck rind), however Bauducco uses some type of imitation candied fruit that's made from artificial colours and aromas.

I think most people who hate traditional panettone would not hate them so much if they ate the real deal candied fruit instead of the imitation stuff.

Had no idea the rest of the world took notice of those fucking thing. Bauducco is brazilian and we have those every xmass since time immemorial. I HATE ‘em. I hate how they taste, their texture, how they look super delicious and feeling unfulfilled and disappointed after a slice.
They have a chocolate variant, with chocolate droplets instead of fruit thats a little more bearable but it sucks nonetheless, its called chocotonne. Fuck this bread.
