Founder's Dirty Bastard is pretty good, scotch style ale. If you like malta you'd probably like it, but it has a lot of unfermented malt in it so it's pretty sweet for a beer. Ale is a very broad thing cause it includes anything from Guiness(stout) to Blue Moon(hefeweizen/wheat ale) to any number of IPAs.
