How do I gain weight? Right now I usually just eat 2 scrambled eggs in the morning, skip lunch, and have two baked potatoes for dinner but that clearly isn't enough since I'm a bit underweight. I'm trying to get /fit/ but they said diet is super important too so I figured I'd ask here.

Eat. That's the only way. If you wanna get fit you stick with high protein, low fat. Chicken, tuna, beans, lentils, lots of good stuff. Make sure you're eating a surplus every day. Protein shakes are a good supplement but no solution on its own.

Assuming that you're in your 20's and that you're around 6' tall then a healthy weight should be something like 150 lbs. At those stats your BMR (the amount of energy your body requires while doing absolutely nothing) is ~1700 cals. You're eating way under that so you're crazy underweight. here is my recomended meal plan. i am going to assume you are poor and live in the midwest, so i'll keep that in mind :

breakfast: eat four egs, and a bowl of plain oatmeal made with mild and at least a half stick of butter

lunch : if you are too busy at work to eat, buy a bag of walmart mountain trail mix to snack on at work. if you don't work, then make a couple portions of grilled cheese. bread, cheese, butter, and peanut butter are your friend here

supper : if you can't afford meat and insist on eating potataoes, smother them in a stick of butter. or buy some cheap ground beer or ground turkey meat and mix it with pasta, don't waste the grease, poor the grease on some eggo walfalls, tastes like beef stroganoff

and in the evening, gourge yourself on peanut butter toast. a cheap loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter will always be your friend, in fact whenever you are hungry throughout the day, you should be eating peanut butter toast, or grilled chease

wash it all down with grape juice

Bodyweights are all you really need.
Start by doing literally nothing different except Scooby's Rotisseries. Front plank, right plank, hold crunch, left plank, wall-sit. 45 seconds apiece, and complete 2 full rotations daily. This is more for the vaguely-doughy type with no exercise experience who needs basic molding.
Also pull-ups, get one of those doorway-bars. A neophyte-body plus core-toning (the rotisseries) and pullups (Scooby also has a great video on these) and you're basically set.

Big middles are from lazy fatties, and the occasional guy who works his core very hard, but eats as big as he works, and builds a big One-Pack Ab which atrophies into life-shortening brown adipose

You need to be getting kicked out of a buffet at least two times a week and consuming a shitload of protein and calories in general. The general consensus is 1g protein per lb of body weight per day, on days that you lift. You have to literally force feed yourself almost to the point of nausea. Shoot for as big of a caloric surplus as possible. You also need to get enough sleep so that your body can repair itself, or all this is pointless.

now do this for months on end, consistently and you will make gains. The biggest barrier to this is the consistency required and the cost of food. It can be done but it will probably be a shock to the system. For a skeletor, the best food you can eat for gains is any food that you can get your hands on. SS+GOMAD is a meme but it works, especially for skeletals. Milk is great for gains. Read SS just for the knowledge anyway, it's free on google
