Making dinner for my mom and first date, I was thinking of fish soup because my mom loves fish soup.

What kind of fish chunks do you guys use in your fish soup, for the best fish soup results?

I was thinking of making my fish soup the same way/style as pic attached below. Does any one know this style of fish soup, what it’s called and how to make it perfectly..?
And if you aren’t into fish soup, please feel free to mention some crowd faves below and maybe I can make that for my mom and first date the next time my first date comes over to hang.

Thanks in advance!

The pic looks more like the makings of a fish stock rather than a soup. You could definitely eat it as a soup, of course, but you’d be better off using it in as the basis for a stew or chowder.

As for fish, whitefish (cod, haddock, etc.) and salmon are the most popular and forgiving. Here’s a solid recipe for a salmon chowder:

Clear fish soups are not quite as common, though they exist in many Eastern preparations. Good luck!

Nothing wrong per se but a little overbearing to bring mom along for a first date, especially when it’s in your shared household and you’re cooking mom’s favourite dish. I desperately hope the girl is expecting that OP, because otherwise it’s off-putting as fuck and that’s not even accounting for the fish smell.

Send mom off to dinner, make some kind of pasta, and enjoy your virtually guaranteed blowjob.

Damn you really got me thinking differently anon, you really do.

Don’t want to spook the new girl. I will hide my moms wheel chair while she is taking her bath upstairs and disable the electric chair that brings her down the stairs.

That should save the date, because she def would not be happy to be missing out.

As for the soup, maybe I will hold off on that, I have some velveeta Cheese N Mac I can whip up, along with a few hungry mans my papa left behind before he died.

Cans serve my date these dishes combined in my video game room. That way she won’t hear my mom if she decides to start crying like she did the last time I had a lady over.

Thanks for help me see it from another pair of like minded shoes Anon!

sorry bud, but any way you slice it, it's weird to have dinner with a girl and your mom as a first date

Remember to add this to your fish soup: Sliced ginger. Celery especially the stalks, chopped and added near the end, white pepper

Perfection.

Why did your mom start crying and what did your date do when she heard it? Do you have a newsletter or YouTube channel? I’d love to get regular updates from you.
